Osteopathy is a form of manual medicine that recognises the important link between the body's structure and how it functions. Osteopaths focus on how the skeleton, joints, muscles, nerves, connective tissue, circulation and internal organs function as a whole.
An osteopathic consultation at this clinic is one-on-one with your practitioner and will take 30-45 minutes. The treatment will involve taking a thorough medical & injury history, assessment of the injury, diagnosis and treatment.

In Australia, all Osteopaths complete a minimum of five years of university training in anatomy, physiology, pathology, general medical diagnosis and osteopathic techniques.
They are also trained to perform standard medical examinations of the musculoskeletal, cardiovascular, respiratory and nervous systems. University graduates hold either a Double Bachelors or Masters qualification.
Osteopaths are required, by law, to maintain ongoing professional development and education every year to stay in practice. In Australia, all Osteopaths are required to be government-registered practitioners.
No, Osteopaths can be visited without a referral from a GP and are trained to know the difference between uncomplicated pain and pain requiring referral to specialist care.
